In Paris, people sit in Parks to read, chat and work. Many local Councils provide free Wi Fi access. Large densely planted deciduous trees provide shade in summer and let the sun through in winter. The trees are trimmed so that people can walk under them. There is fixed park bench seating and in summer, Councils often provide additional moveable chairs.

Just found your blog. I am off to Paris in NOv. so I will have to see all of your photos of course.
Ahhh the trees in Paris. YOu should see them (or maybe you have) in the winter. All nicely trimmed and bare. Sculpturally beautiful.
